Trees for survival

                          Trees for survival

In Auckland 40% of the land is supposed to be covered by trees. But in 2012 the statistics said that there was only 23.8% of land covered in trees.
So that means we have to plant more trees.

Tree are important because they suck up carbon dioxide and produce oxygen. Trees make food for us. Trees can stop global warming. They also provide wood for us to make houses, furniture and paper. They provide us cotton wool to make clothes too.

But if we cut more trees to make houses. There will be no oxygen and no one will survive. That’s why we have to plant more trees so we can have a balanced environment and everybody will live.
